PowerWash Simulator 2 is Heading to a Galaxy Far Away With a New Star Wars DLC!

PowerWash Simulator 2 has already taken players to some unexpected places to get the cleaning grind on, such as Adventure Time, but this one might honestly top even that. FuturLab has announced a new Star Wars DLC coming to the game this summer, allowing players to clean up actual locations from the Star Wars universe including vehicles such as the X-Wing Starfighter. Interestingly enough, this pack actually has some lore built into it, with FuturLab stating:

Experience the events of the original Star Wars™ trilogy as P0-W2, a humble Class Five cleaning droid, turned filth-fighting rebel! Your average assignment quickly spirals into being commandeered to carry out the Empire’s dirty work, before clearing the way for the Rebel Alliance. Rebellions are built on soap, after all.

When it comes to some cleanable locations we got in PowerWash Simulator 1, it was somewhat debatable if some places could actually get that dirty or not, but honestly with how open a lot of the land in the Star Wars universe has been before, I get it. Before we dive into what this pack has to offer, check out the teaser video below!

What’s Included in This Pack

As mentioned above, the pack puts you in the shoes of a P0-W2 across locations spanning Tatooine, Hoth, and a number of other spots. The Star Wars universe is full of banged-up ships, dusty planets, and battle-scarred bases that look like they haven’t had a good clean since the dawn of the jedi, so putting the universe into PowerWash Simulator just fits like a sanitary glove.

What makes this more interesting than your average licensed DLC is that FuturLab has actually built a narrative around it instead of just dropping a list of Star Wars objects for you to hose down. While it’s not that important to have a narrative as I enjoyed PowerWash Simulator 1 DLCs like the SpongeBob SquarePants one which didn’t really feature a narrative as far as I can recall but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Having a narrative to go along with it, even if it’s a loose one, just makes the partnership feel like it was made with slightly more love then normal.

For those curious, Co-Op play is supported as well. The Star Wars campaign can be played solo or with a friend, with FuturLab making a joke that doing a two-player run makes you the “second most iconic droid duo in the galaxy.” If you want to go for a bigger group session, Free Play will support up to four players, so you can absolutely get a full squad together to scrub down the giant projects that will be taunting you in this DLC.

FuturLab described working on this pack as a “pinch-me moment,” and honestly that is super easily to believe. Imagine having a game where you already have so many cool collaborations and places to clean up, and then suddenly you’re able to put the iconic Star Wars location under a microscope to scrub down. It’s the kind of dream project for a studio that’s built it’s whole identity around rewarding players who slow down, listen to the sound of washing the grime away, and pay attention to what you’re cleaning up.

A specific date for the partnership hasn’t been confirmed yet other than “Summer 2026”, with FuturLab promising to provide more details soon, but it will be available on PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 for £7.99 / €9.99/ $9.99 once released.
