Forza Horizon 6 Has Gone Gold: Full Soundtrack, Loyalty Rewards, and Specs Revealed

Forza Horizon 6 has officially gone gold, meaning the game is finished with no delays planned. Following this announcement, Playground Games announced a wave of new details covering preload availability, the full radio station and track reveal, console rendering specs, loyalty rewards for Forza veterans, and a closer look at the game’s accessibility features. Early Access kicks off on May 15th for Premium Edition owners, so things are moving fast with playability being right around the corner.

Preloading is Live Now

Preloads are available right now on Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Xbox app, with Steam preload coming soon. You’ll need 135 GBs free on the Xbox Series X (130 GBs on the Series S) and 160 GBs on PC for the game. If you had preloaded the game before the official update came out, you might have a placeholder file with data and not a real game, so Playground is recommending you check for updates to make sure the full game is installed instead of an unplayable placeholder.

You can preload if you’ve pre-ordered any edition of the game or if you have an active Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription. Disc buyers can also preload by using the Xbox app on your smartphone, finding Forza Horizon 6 in the store, and hitting “Download to Console,” this won’t let you play early, as you’ll still need to insert the disc for access to the game due to Xbox not magically knowing you have a disc, but it can help cut down on day one patch updates for disc users.

The Full Soundtrack Revealed

Forza Horizon 6 features nine radio stations and the largest track count in any Horizon game to date. The big headline is that iconic J-pop songs are appearing in a Horizon title for the first time, with people being excited to see groups like YOASOBI make it into the game. Full Spotify playlists for each station are being created ahead of the launch, and Playground is revealing the complete tracklists across their social channels over the coming days. Here’s the full station lineup and what genre they fit into:

  • Horizon Pulse: Indie Pop / Nu-Disco
  • Horizon Bass Arena: Electronic / Dance
  • Horizon Block Party: Hip-Hop
  • Horizon XS: Rock / Metal / Punk
  • Hospital Records: Drum & Bass
  • Gacha City Radio: J-pop
  • Sub Pop Records: Indie / Alternative
  • Horizon Wave: Synthwave
  • Horizon Opus: Modern Classical

Currently, only the Horizon XS and Horizon Bass Arena playlists are on Spotify right now, with more expected to follow leading up to the game’s full launch. Gacha City Radio is the J-pop station and the most culturally specific addition the series has ever made to match its setting. Horizon XS is the rock and metal station, and its tracklist is a standout with BABYMETAL on there twice for “Gimme Chocolate!!” and “White Flame”, alongside Linkin Park, One OK Rock, PassCode, Spiritbox, Coheed and Cambria, Rise Against, Biffy Clyro, and Turnstile. That’s a genuinely strong rock lineup for Forza. Horizon Bass Arena’s tracklist is also confirmed and features Calvin Harris, FISHER, Dom Dolla, Subtronics, and ISOxo among others.

Loyalty Rewards for Forza Veterans

If your Xbox Gamertag has ever played any previous Forza title, you’ll receive a free car in Forza Horizon 6 once you complete the Tokyo City introductory race. Here’s the full table of loyalty cars:

If you’ve been with the series since the beginning, you’ll be walking into Japan with a garage already worth looking at. For players wanting not to complete the game with the set of loyalty cars you’re given, you don’t have to, as you can always experience the game without using those vehicles. It’s interesting seeing the Aston Martin Vulcan for Horizon 4 players and the Mercedes-AMG ONE for Horizon 5 players, as both are genuinely rare and expensive cars that would normally take significant in-game grind to unlock.

Accessibility Features

Forza Horizon 6 is continuing the series’s strong accessibility track record by adding some new options to the mix. The headline new feature is High Contrast Mode, which simplifies the open world of Japan to make important objects easier to distinguish and is fully customizable to each player’s needs. AutoDrive has also been improved, accessible via ANNA with the d-pad, and allows players to set a waypoint on the map and have the game drive for them, which is great for anyone who wants to experience the scenery without the pressure of active driving, or those who want a sick desktop or phone wallpaper.

Proximity Radar is another new addition, which flags cars in your blind spots to prevent unintentional collisions, a feature that is particularly useful in cockpit or bumper camera views. A post-launch update will add ASL and BSL sign language support for cinematics via a picture-in-picture interpreter display. Returning features include full controller remapping, screen reading narration, color-blind filters, subtitles, adjustable camera FOV on PC, and the full suite of driving assists.

Console Rendering Specs

On both the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S there will be a Quality and Performance option. Xbox Series X players can use a Quality option, providing Native 4K graphics at 30fps, while the Performance option provides Dynamic 4K at 60 fps. For Xbox Series S players, the Quality option provides a 1440p graphical experience at 30fps with dynamic scaling, while Performance mode targets 1080p at 60fps with dynamic scaling as well.

For PC players, you can refer to the chart below:

With only two weeks left until players can hit the road in Forza, it’s a super exciting time to be a fan of both Japan and racing games!
