Right after having discovered details for the Xbox Elite Series 3 Controller, another controller was spotted by Tecnoblog, which seems to be focused specifically on the Xbox Cloud Gaming aspect of everything.
The Cloud Gaming Controller, pictured below, is a first-party controller by Microsoft that seems to have all the features you typically see from an Xbox controller, but shrunk down into more of a Nintendo Pro Controller/NES Controller hybrid. If you’re not getting what I’m talking about, the NES Controller is what my mind instantly goes to when I think about a flat rectangular controller, but the left and right triggers on the back are flat and stubby like that of a Nintendo Pro Controller.

In terms of new features, the Xbox Cloud Gaming Controller will feature Wi-Fi 6 support (restricted to 20 MHz) to connect directly to the Xbox Cloud Gaming service for what we’d assume would be a much lower latency connection than just hooking it up to a console or computer. Other features include:
- Bluetooth Support
- 500 mAh Battery
- Two 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A7 Cores
- Realtek RTL80730E Chipset
Other than this, most of the information surrounding the controller is currently unknown. Nothing has leaked for pricing, availability, or how Microsoft would like to describe the Cloud functionality on the device. Depending on the price, this could honestly become a very solid option for those unable to get a full-priced Xbox controller or those who want a smaller option that potentially works better with cloud gaming.
