Fortnite is no stranger to giving away free cosmetics; we saw them being very generous with Star Wars freebies, Team Battle Rewards, a Community Drop Loading Screen, and even the Havoc car for Free! With Fortnite Showdown Act III having kicked off with new gameplay features, content to unlock, and a huge focus on Overwatch, it only makes sense that they decide to give back to the people with even more goodies, this time featuring a free glider and loading screen!
All Fortnite x Overwatch Act III Login Rewards

The unlocks we talk about in this article are not included in any quest menu or anything; instead, you’ll only be able to know they’re available if you frequent the Fortnite official social media accounts or read the in-game news feed. Luckily, we’ve gathered all the information on the two free drops currently known to release in the future.
While there are only two free drops currently confirmed, there could be more free drops releasing in the future, as some leaks indicated this freebie event was originally intended to be a lot bigger. Before we talk about that, however, here’s a rundown of both rewards you can obtain:
| Reward | Requirements |
|---|---|
| Answer the Call Loading Screen | Login anytime from May 16th @ 9 AM ET – May 17th @ 9 AM ET |
| MV-261 Orca Glider | Login anytime from May 23rd @ 9 AM ET – May 24th @ 9 AM ET |
Could Daily Drops be Expanding?
As mentioned above, there was originally going to be more free rewards; this was going to use a “Daily Drops” system that got spotted by Fortnite leaker Hybrid on X during the Act III update. This system would’ve worked as a visual replacement for logging in and seeing a random cosmetic being granted, as it would show you from day one that you had some cooler rewards waiting for you towards the end of the week if you keep logging in daily.
Had this system been released, players could’ve expected not only the loading screen and glider as a free reward but also free upgrade llamas in STW and some unknown Golden Firework weapon, maybe as an STW item or some form of match consumable in Battle Royale. Despite this, the two cosmetics that have been released from the Daily Drops system and put into daily login rewards are currently set to be exclusive freebies you can only get during the two days they’re made available.
The freebies can potentially be released in the Item Shop at a later date, with the glider being the most likely cosmetic to release late. Still, with all event rewards that have an opportunity to release, the question of whether it will actually release remains up in the air, so it’s best to go ahead and claim the freebies when each Saturday rolls around just to be safe if you’re a big fan of Overwatch.
