If you’ve been keeping up with gaming news recently, you might have heard some murmurs about Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition and Rayman Legends Retold. These are modern upgrades to the original Rayman Origins & Rayman Legends games. While it’s not an actual new game in the Rayman franchise, it was shocking even to hear the words “Rayman 2026” mentioned by anyone. When the insider rumors first came out, some people could just ignore them completely, but it appears they were entirely true, as an Xbox listing accidentally went live earlier today for Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition. With a price tag of $1,999.99, this Enhanced Edition is described as:

While not much is currently known about what these new quality-of-life features are, we at Lagback took it upon ourselves to save all of the images uploaded to the Xbox listing for you, the viewer, to look at while we wait for an official reveal later down the line, potentially at Xbox’s Games Showcase 2026. We’ve also included the entire game description, just for the off chance the listing is taken down.

When the Glade of Dreams is overrun by “nefurrious” Darktoons, the Fairy Council summons Rayman to save the day. Joined by his best friend, Globox, and two crafty wizards, the Teensies, this unlikely team must restore balance before their world fades away like a bad dream.

What do you think about this? Does it feel like Ubisoft is in a weird spot this year, where the only titles they’ve given us so far are just remakes or remasters of older games, or is this just a low point because the bigger titles aren’t planned to come out until maybe a year or two down the road? I’m honestly fine with seeing these older Rayman games get revived, but it just feels like Ubisoft should also release at least one new big title this year.
At the very least, we are getting a new Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains game later this year, and the indie Morbid Metal game that was published by Ubisoft was pretty solid so I can’t complain too much.
