Square Enix and Twitch are teaming up across all three of this year’s Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festivals, rewarding dedicated fans with exclusive Twitch chat badges! These free chat badges will be yours to keep and proudly display forever, so here’s what you need to know.
There are six badges in total with two releasing per festival. These badges are split up between the North American Fan Festival in Anaheim, the Europe Fan Festival in Berlin, and the Japan Fan Festival in Tokyo. For the first set of twitch badges, you just need to watch any participating Twitch channel streaming FFXIV in the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online category for one hour and the badge drops automatically. If you’re wanting to unlock all badges then you’ll need to spend that hour or an additional hour specifically on the official FINAL FANTASY XIV Twitch account.
Here’s all the offers and when you can obtain them:

- Fan Festival Anaheim (April 24-26): Fat Cat badge + Main Scenario Quest badge
- Fan Festival Berlin (July 24-26): Moogle badge + Content Unlock Quest badge
- Fan Festival Tokyo (October 30-November 1): Alpha badge + Quest Complete badge
A Few Things Worth Knowing
When it comes to Twitch rewards, there are a few warnings you should know. Firstly, watching multiple streams at the same time won’t speed up progress towards drops. Secondly, depending on how the drops are handled, you might be required to claim the drops in your Inventory. Finally, you can only grab these rewards when the timer starts, time spent watching streams before the event won’t count.
Once you have unlocked your new badges, they will live in your Global Badge menu and can be swapped in and out whenever you want! What badges will you be hunting for? I know I will be trying to grab them all but that Fat Cat badge is a must have.
