The world of Fortnite is heating up as the rivalries in Chapter 7, Season 2 shift into high gear. The focus now turns to Act II: The Elites, a high-stakes phase that promises to further divide the Island depending on which teams rewards you find more appetizing. Earlier today, a wealth of new details dropped regarding what players can expect from this next chapter, beginning with an official announcement on X (formerly Twitter) by Fortnite:
What’s New In Act 2: The Elites?
Following this announcement, a lot of users in the community started speculating what some of these rewards are. While it makes sense that some rewards are weapons there are other rewards that just feel slightly vague, such as Milestone 2 for Team Foundation being a random cluster of builds. We’ve tried our best to decipher what these rewards can be and list them below:
Team Foundation:
- Milestone 1: The Super Shredder from Save The World. The Super Shredder is a sniper shotgun hybrid that has a tight spread which damage being able to be dealt at longer ranges than usual, just with a reduced rate of fire.
- Milestone 2: Unknown. Community theories speculate that this could be the Port-A-Fortress which was scrapped early into Fortnite’s development but can be seen online thanks to leakers such as Sentinel Central and Lost Of Fortnite.
- Milestone 3: Shock Rifle. Based on recent teasers from Epic Games and leaks by the community, it appears this third unlock is a new Shock Rifle that will shoot out cubes which will explode once a target is hit.
- Milestone 4: Unknown. While we aren’t able to decipher what this reward is and while the community remains stumped on it, we can tell that it has something to do with the Battle Royale island. Maybe the beacon calls more members of The Seven to reunite?
Team Ice King:
- Milestone 1: New Revolver! It’s currently unknown how this revolver will differ from the other ones already released in Fortnite but there’s a chance it could have a unique gimmick to it, seeing as earlier this season a “Cardboard Pistol” had been leaked.
- Milestone 2: Recon Scanner from Chapter 2: Season 7. This is a scanner grenade launcher which will ping enemies nearby and through walls depending on where the grenade charge lands.
- Milestone 3: Reforged Infinity Blade. Coming over from Fortnite OG into Battle Royale is the Infinity Blade which is fitting for the Ice King himself.
- Milestone 4: Slipstreams! Originally introduced in Chapter 1: Season 9 it appears that Slipstreams, also known as Wind Tunnels, are set to become more prevalent on the island in the higher up mountainous areas. When entering a tunnel you receive the ability to redeploy your glider and glide further off, like a more natural Launch Pad.
The Battle Doesn’t Stop Here
This is only the second act out of four acts planned for Chapter 7: Season 2, and while we don’t know how it’ll end we do know that there’s a ton of reasons to stay tuned into Fortnite, grinding out new rewards and supporting your favorite team along the way, so get out there on April 16th and prove that your team was the correct choice to fight for!
